The ongoing  Big Brother Nigeria reality TV series which first debuted 2006' Latest edition being hosted in Johannesburg, South Africa is recently been criticized in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government says its investigating why the reality TV series Big Brother Nigeria is hosted outside nigerian soil, re-launched on Sunday  22^nd Jan. 2017 as Big Brother Naija, is being shot in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed,  insist by shooting the show in South Africa, is  assumed a possible deceit, since the viewing public was never told that the event would be staged outside Nigeria soil.
