SHORT FILM ON CHIBOK GIRLS SET TO PREMIERE

'Waiting for Hassana' by Uzodinma Iweala | TheCable LifestyleOur very own Uzodinma Iweala, the author of Beast of no Nation, is set to premiere a short film based on the abducted Chibok girls in a country we love.
 Uzodinma made it known the movie is inspired by his mum, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a former finance minister.
     Waiting for Hassana entailed about 276 teenage girls who were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in 2014 from their school in  Chibok, Borno state. Her experience of loss and resilience in the wake of the brutal kidnapping of school girls from #Chibok in northern Nigeria. ths movie is set to be premiered  at Sundance Film Festival on Friday, January 20. This is really a long anticipated act finally put into piece.
